Incident 1 - Thankar Bachan reportedly makes denigrating statements against women. Faced with outcry amongst from the film community, especially the ladies, Bachan apologises. Kushboo is among those who is not satisfied with apology. Political parties such as Tamil Protection Movement, PMK, DPI side with Bachan.
Incident 2 - Kushboo reportedly says the pre-marital sex is fine for women as along as they take steps against AIDS. This remark causes outcry among TN women especially those belonging to the Tamil Protection Movement, PMK, DPI. No such reaction is seen from Congress, BJP, DMK and AIADMK, who presumably have no women members (!!) or agree with Kushboo's statement. Kushboo apologises for remarks.

I am still unable to see the exact statement made by Kushboo that caused the issue. Your link is not good enough for me to validate your theory on the statements that she had supposedly made.
Well...Kushboo is supposed to have made that remark to a tamil mag(India Today's tamil version). So, you could follow that lead and see it ends up.

Three issues:
1.
Premarital sex is happening in Tamilnadu and AIDS is increasing in TN when it is decreasing elsewhere.
Why? Because people like PMK Ramadoss wants us to beleive that premarital sex is not happening and Kushboo should not start it.
2.
This type of controversy is not new. When new IV needles were given to IV drug abusers, the same thing happened in NY in the late 1980s. But then no one like the PMK, Tamil Liberation whatever, filed "defamation" cases and harrased people with different views.

What Kushboo said was
Whatever Kushboo might have said, it is within the realm of free speech.
4.
The self proclaimed morality police of Dr. Ramadoss should ask his son, the Union Health Minister, to wear "Tamil clothes" to start with. Charity begins at home, remember?

Dr Ramadoss should remember that Newtons 3 rd law. There is always a backlash for everything. He will sure get lesser votes in the next election and the DMK and SunTV beware!
Politicians who can do nothing else to get some attention would definitely resort to such dirty means to gain publicity....tsk.... tsk...tsk....
Sweeping the dust under the carpet does not make it disappear. Let these people who are protesting against Kushboo's statement open their eyes and look around themselves. Truth is always bitter and difficult to accept.
Unfortunately Kushboo has had the guts to tell the truth. Way to go Kush!! Don't you worry - not all the people in Tamizhnad are hypocrites.

What PMK is saying is the right way. The best way to keep safe from AIDS is abstinence or sex after marriage only. Pre-marital sex will destroy the social structure. Ppl like Kushboo are dumb asses carried away by materialistic lifestyles. There is no such thing as safe sex with condoms etc. as condoms can't protect 100% from STDs or HIV/AIDS.
All of you ppl supporting pre-marital sex have to ask this question. If your father and mother weren't dedicated and faithful and committed to family-life and instead indulging in pre-marital sex etc., will you be the person you are now?
